Frequently asked questions FAQ Centre-Val de Loire

This campsite doesn't have its own FAQ yet: frequently asked questions about campsites in Centre-Val de Loire.

Where can I find a cheap campsite in Centre-Val de Loire?

In Indre-et-Loire and Loir-et-Cher, around Blois, Amboise or Cheverny, near the châteaux. The Cher and the Indre offer quieter and often cheaper countryside.

Can I visit the Loire châteaux from a campsite?

Yes, many campsites are a few kilometres from Chambord, Cheverny, Blois or Chenonceau. The Loire à Vélo route even lets you reach them without a car.

Is Centre-Val de Loire an expensive region for camping?

No, it is one of the most affordable regions in France. Prices stay moderate even in summer, far from coastal rates.

When should I go?

May, June and September, for pleasant days, fewer crowds at the châteaux and lower prices.

Are there campsites on the Loire?

Yes, several campsites are on the banks of the Loire or its tributaries, such as the Cher. Swimming in the Loire is dangerous and usually forbidden outside designated areas, so check locally.
