Frequently asked questions FAQ Nouvelle-Aquitaine

This campsite doesn't have its own FAQ yet: frequently asked questions about campsites in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Where can I find a cheap campsite in south-west France?

In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, especially inland, in the Dordogne or Lot-et-Garonne. On the coast, the Landes and Charente-Maritime also have affordable options outside July and August.

Is the Dordogne a good budget camping destination?

Yes. The Dordogne has many campsites around Sarlat and the Périgord Noir, often cheaper than on the coast, with plenty to do, such as canoeing or visiting villages.

Can I camp cheaply by the ocean?

Yes, in June and September, when prices fall sharply in the Landes, Gironde or Charente-Maritime. A campsite set back from the busiest beaches also costs less.

Which Charente-Maritime islands are good for camping?

The Île d’Oléron and the Île de Ré have many campsites. Oléron, larger and reached by a free bridge, is often more affordable than Ré, whose bridge has a toll.

Pitch or mobile home?

A pitch for your tent, caravan or motorhome remains the cheapest option. Mobile homes are very common in the region: always compare the total price.
