Camping Robinson is open from 26 April to 21 September. The season is split into three main pricing periods with significant differences in mobile home rates. The low season (26 April – 14 June and 1 – 21 September) offers the lowest rates: from €266 a week for a Coco Sweet mobile home for 4 people. During these periods, the heated pool is open, the beach is accessible and the campsite operates normally — just with fewer people around. Evening entertainment is lighter, but sports activities and the kids’ club are still on offer. For families looking for a family campsite on the Mediterranean without summer prices, June and September are the best months.
The mid season (15 June – 8 July and 22 – 31 August) is a good compromise: more entertainment, a livelier beach, but still manageable crowds. Rates rise compared to the low season, but stay below the peak high season (9 July – 21 August). In terms of value for money, the last week of August is often underrated: families with school-age children leave, rates drop, the weather stays excellent and Marseillan Plage beach gradually empties out. Here’s what’s included in the base price of a stay at Camping Robinson in Marseillan Plage, at no extra cost: access to the water area (heated 620 m² lagoon, Cruso’Gliss slide, Cruso’Splash zone, jacuzzi), access to the sandy beach (footpath from the campsite), free Wi-Fi across the whole site, free parking for guests, kids’ club (6-12 years, Monday-Friday), teen club (12-18 years, 3 afternoons a week), multi-sports pitch and table tennis tables free to use, pétanque on 6 courts. Evening shows and entertainment in high season are also included. These facilities, valued at between €100 and €200 a week at comparable establishments, are an integral part of the package.
The paid options available on site: dining at Cruso’Bar and Resto’Cruso (expect €12-18 per dish, comparable to restaurants in Marseillan Plage), bike hire (adults, children, electric, trailers — ask for pricing at reception), CruzO’Zen beauty treatments (hammam, massages, waxing — by appointment at reception), Cruso’Shop grocery store (bread and pastries delivered every morning, everyday essentials). These expenses remain manageable: a family of 4 can easily keep extra spending to €50-80 for the week by managing their own meals and outings. Camping Robinson accepts ANCV holiday vouchers, Visa and Mastercard bank cards, and cash.
For excursions from Camping Robinson, there’s no shortage of free or almost-free options. The Marseillan market (3 km by bike, Tuesday morning) is great for stocking up and trying oysters from the Étang de Thau for a few euros. The coastal cycle route from the campsite to Cap d’Agde (8 km) is entirely flat and free with the campsite’s bikes. Marseillan Plage beach is supervised free of charge in high season. The Bagnas nature reserve (5 minutes on foot) has free access. Only more distant excursions (Aqualand Cap d’Agde, a cruise in Sète, guided tours in Pézenas) require entrance tickets.
Monday – Arrival and discovery: settle into your mobile home, first visit to Camping Robinson’s heated pool, sign up for the kids’ club for 6-12 year-olds from the next day. In the late afternoon, walk or cycle to Marseillan Plage beach (direct, free access). Dinner on your terrace. Tuesday – Beach and market: Marseillan village market (3 km by bike) opens at 8am. Fresh oysters, clams, vegetables from local Hérault growers — expect to pay €15-20 for two. In the afternoon, back to the Cruso’Gliss and Cruso’Splash water areas for the children while the parents relax in the jacuzzi.
Wednesday – Cap d’Agde excursion: 8 km from Camping Robinson, Cap d’Agde offers a day of beaches, the old town and (optionally) Aqualand (€25-30/adult). Returning in the late afternoon lets you enjoy the evening entertainment at the campsite. Thursday – Étang de Thau: sea kayak hire or windsurfing on the Étang de Thau (5 km), a paradise for water sports on calm water. Kitesurfing taster sessions available through the lake’s schools. Friday – Sète and a cultural day: 17 km away, the “Venice of Languedoc” can be explored on foot from the quay — canals, Mont Saint-Clair, tielle sétoise. Allow half a day. Return to Camping Robinson for the show evening in high season.
Saturday and Sunday — relaxing and free outings: the last days are a chance to make the most of Camping Robinson‘s facilities. Morning aquagym by the lagoon, a family pétanque tournament, cycling along the coastal path, swimming in the sea. The CruzO’Zen wellness area offers massage slots at the weekend (booking at reception, around €50). To wrap up the stay, Cruso’Bar serves cocktails and appetiser platters facing the Mediterranean from 3pm.
