Everything about the campsites budget-friendly with naturist

Naturism does not have to be expensive. This selection brings together 29 affordable campsites and estates, from small family sites in the countryside to large seaside estates, with spacious pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes as well as mobile home and chalet rentals.

Where to go: the regions in the selection

Languedoc-Roussillon and Occitanie have the most addresses. On the Hérault coast, Le Sérignan Plage Nature opens straight onto a sandy beach, and other naturist beaches in Languedoc-Roussillon are close by, such as Cap d’Agde or Leucate. Inland, the Gard, the Aude, the Lot and the Pyrenees offer quieter sites, often cheaper than on the coast.

On the Atlantic coast, the Gironde and the Landes line up large estates in the pine forest, a few steps from the ocean: CHM Montalivet, Euronat, La Jenny and Arnaoutchot, with beach access and plenty of activities on site.

In the south-east, the campsites of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the Vaucluse and the hills behind Nice offer space, hills and lakes, far from the crowds of the Côte d’Azur.

Elsewhere, the selection also covers Corsica, the Vendée, Brittany, the Creuse and the Ardèche gorges.

Pitch or mobile home?

A pitch remains the cheapest option for families, couples and single travellers where the campsite accepts them, well ahead of rentals. June and September are noticeably cheaper than July and August, with the same atmosphere and often fine weather. Many campsites also offer weekly discounts or a long-stay offer.

Pool, entertainment and activities

Even on a budget, 24 of the 29 campsites in the selection have a pool, sometimes heated, along with a children’s playground and a summer entertainment programme. The largest estates add a kids club, a gym, pétanque, volleyball or basketball courts and bike hire. Check each campsite page to compare facilities, wifi and reviews.

Before booking

Before you book, check each campsite’s admission conditions, as they vary from region to region. Most campsites ask for a naturist licence, which can usually be bought on arrival. Nudity is almost always required at the pool and bathing areas, the rest depends on the site rules. To compare every naturist campsite in France, visit our dedicated site naturiste.camp.

our method

How we select every campsite

1

A verified criterion, not a promise

Every budget-friendly campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.

2

Reputation, backed by reviews

We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.

3

Direct booking, transparent pricing

You book directly with the campsite, no middleman or hidden markup. The price shown is the price you pay.

frequently asked questions

FAQ - Cheap naturist campsites

Do I need a naturist licence?
Often, yes. Many naturist campsites ask for a licence from the French naturist federation or an international card. If you do not have one, it can usually be bought at reception on the day you arrive.
How can I pay less for a naturist campsite?
Choose a pitch rather than a rental, travel in June or September rather than July and August, and book a full week when the campsite offers a weekly rate.
Is nudity compulsory everywhere?
It is almost always required at the pool and bathing areas. Elsewhere it is the norm whenever the weather allows, but each campsite sets its own rules, especially for evening events and the restaurant.
Can I go with children?
Yes. Most naturist campsites welcome families, with playgrounds, pools and sometimes a kids club. Naturism is practised there in a family-friendly and respectful setting.
Can a single person book?
It depends on the campsite. Some restrict access for single guests or require a licence to keep the family atmosphere. Check the conditions on the campsite website before booking.
What is the difference between naturism and nudism?
Nudism simply means being naked. Naturism is a way of life that combines shared nudity with respect for oneself, for others and for the environment. The campsites in this selection follow that framework, with clear site rules.
How do I choose the right campsite?
Start with the region and the type of stay: the seaside in the Gironde, the Landes or Languedoc-Roussillon, or countryside calm in the Lot or the Vaucluse. Then compare accommodation, pool, entertainment and reviews, and check the conditions for single travellers and families.
