Frequently asked questions FAQ Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

This campsite doesn't have its own FAQ yet: frequently asked questions about campsites in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

Where can I find a cheap campsite in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur?

Mainly inland: Alpes-de-Haute-Provence around the Verdon and Sisteron, and the Vaucluse around Carpentras and Avignon. On the Var coast prices are higher in summer.

Can I camp cheaply on the Côte d’Azur?

It is harder in July and August, but possible in May, June and September, when prices fall sharply. Pitches for tents or motorhomes are the most affordable near the sea.

Which area combines the sea and a small budget?

The Var has the most seaside campsites, around Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël and Hyères. On a tight budget, a campsite inland in the Var or Vaucluse lets you reach the coast on day trips.

Is the Verdon Gorge a good budget option?

Yes. Campsites around Castellane and Lake Sainte-Croix are often cheaper than on the coast, with lake swimming and water sports nearby.

When is it cheapest?

From April to June and in September. Outside school holidays prices are much lower and the Mediterranean climate remains very pleasant.
